One of those brighter and not just caramel/chocolates/brown sugars kind of Guat. At first I did have a lot of trouble placing what is going on in this coffee. Not in a bad or even a good way. It took some cooling down to present it self. Almost like it was hiding. I did pick up a very slight melon juice vibe, yes, a vibe, going on. A nicely light sweet thing that mixed with maybe a chocolate syrup background note. I feel as if what I'm writing is somewhat massively overselling things with melon juice and chocolate syrup so please understand this is one of those nicely subtle coffees. This one is sort of that hey maybe don't just roast stuff super light and bright. It's ok to develop a coffee a little and it's still not a dark roast. Coffee for those people who don't want the crazy fruit bombs but want normal stuff. It's ok to take a break. I promise.
Also side jamie lore here: I had this coffee years and years ago from when a friend of ours went there and brought back a bunch for their company to buy. They since stopped working there and went to the green importer side and didn't bring in those coffees. And since they no longer had the connection it sort of became a coffee I couldn't get unless it came from the other "coast. What does that mean? There's kind of a divide of coffee in the country simply put. Anyways, this was a west coast coffee I had shipped to us because 10 year younger me loved that coffee for cold brew. Still stand by it. <3
