(old review left up for fun look when I cared a lot about everything and really wrote gigantic bespoke reviews)
A nice and honeyed coffee similar to Honey Nut Cheerios. There's some developed sweetness here that balances the cup. "warm" and "pleasing" are descriptors i'd use.
10oz.

Another Ethiopian and another statement of "it's awesome". Should I even be writing that it's good? Does it matter? Is anybody listening? Hello, hello, is this mic on?
Duromina is a coffee collective and I had a bag when Stumptown coffee had it in stock in 2014. It was a beautiful coffee that really stuck in my mind so when our importers got it I bought it without question. Risky, but it's worth it.
The Duromina a complex and mellow fruit heavy coffee. Given it's an Ethiopian it's going to be fruity and in my cuppers opinion It's more like a Kenyan coffee, or at least the ones I've roasted. It doesn't quite have the cleanliness of a Kenyan, or the bright acidity, but that's splitting hairs. The tangy green apple is what reminds me of a Kenyan coffee truthfully.
I say it's complex in that it's a bit of a murky taste on the pallet. There's no straight up blueberry or jasmine happening here. Stewed fruits is what I keep coming back to, right or wrong. While almost all Ethiopians I've carried have a mouth cleansing finish this one is very dry. Which seems weird because it's a juicy mouthfeel. Is this improper roasting or brewing on my part? To answer that I've gone through more than 3 times the amount of coffee than I normally do while cupping (mostly because it's just that good) but can't seem to knock the dry finish. Adjusting your grind and brewing might net some degree of a clean finish for you however.
As espresso: The Duromina is an earthy and a nice option if you can take this kind of espresso but not exactly recommended. I did experiment with a different development of roast and it came out really good. I might revisit that down the road.
