I've carried this coffee for years at this point. I sometimes cringe at the previous reviews because maybe it didn't end up perfectly as how I first tried it or whatever the case may be. The reason I buy this coffee year in and out is that it does tend to rise above generic kenya aa lots but be just below what I pay microdots that get lost on everyone at the same time is accessible. It also is a nice deviation from the endless Ethiopia routine I fall into. Tropical, Citric and Bright is how I like this. Mouth puckering espresso if that's your thing  and I wouldn't try but maybe it's your speed.

Previous reviews:

What, a coffee from Kenya during the summer time? No way. This is what? The fourth year in a row? As everyone knows I usually preface this with the fact I'm a sucker for a solid coffee from Kenya at all times. There's just something about that citric tastes that bring back all the feels. See: Florida as to blame. But anyways personal anecdotes aside this is a solid Kenyan with the usual bright, citric and a robust mouthfeel. I rarely ascribe light roasts to pep in my step, and I don't go hardcore on the "extra caffiene" angle ever, however I think it's just the general largeness of the coffee that makes me go that extra step. There's just something so filling about these coffee's again personal anecdote.

If you're looking for where this places in the rankings of all the coffee's we've brought in I'd put this right besides the Muchagara. The bell curve for Kenya has some crazy high end notes (the ichamama peaberry last year) that are diamonds in the rough and then there's a slightly more available sweet high end but missing those top notes in the middle part that rocks. This is one.
